APV

MADRID – 19th – 21st of January 2023

During the APV meeting, it was possible to organise everything related to the exchange starting with questions of activities, reimbursements and accommodation. After the morning meeting held at the MAD for Europe headquarters, the guests participated in a guided tour of Madrid and then ended the meeting with a social lunch.

For a better organization of the KA1 “Viy: “Very Important Youth” that will be realized in Madrid from 12th to 17th March 2023, MAD for Europe has reunited every leader in Madrid for the APV meeting on the 20th of January 2023.

The participant countries were: Spain, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Lebanon and Belarus. Russia wasn’t present because it won’t participate to the project anymore due to the political situation that affects this country. We had an approval of our NA about this, in fact the 6 participants vacancies from Russia will be given to the other countries so we will have our 48 participants to the youth exchange.

The APV started at 9.30 am CET. After some nice and funny icebreakers among all, MAD for Europe did a presentation of the organization and of the large experience in the youth projects.

We also resumed the dates for the exchange, that all the partners previously agreed to carry out in March 2023, from the 12nd (day of arrival) to the 17th (day of departure). The Coordinator explained everything about the project, by precising these aspects:

• Dates (for the exchange, from the 12nd to the 17th of March)

• General organization (arrival and departure days, medical insurance, organization of meals, description of the rooms and of the activities)

• We established together a RISK prevention plan and also some special measures related to COVID19

• Participants allowed in the exchange (age limits, number or youngsters for each country…).

• During the APV all the partners decided this specific division regarding the participants: Lebanon 8, (6 women and 2 men); Germany 7, Italy 6, Romania 6, Belarus 7, Hungary 8. All the participants must be older than 18 years old and younger than 30 years old. All the partners decided the 15th of February as the deadline for the definitive list of participants.

• Leaders role. They must be older than 18 years old and, as MAD for Europe advised, responsible and reliable profiles. They don’t have any age limit, so they can be older than 30 years old. Almost all the leaders that participated at the APV will be the same that take part in the youth exchange in March.

• Location (Madrid). The capital of Spain will host all the activities which will take place outside, mostly in places of public interest in the city.

• Accommodation (Way Hostel Madrid, Calle de los Relatores 17, 28012, Madrid). Discussing the hostel, the issue relating to the rooms was addressed, for which, as agreed with the structure, those available for the project will be 6: three for 6 people and three for 8 people. Participants will be divided by gender but not by nationality and will all have a private bathroom with the exception of one room for 6.

• Description of the activities that will be carried out in the project. The activities that will take place throughout the course of the project will be 10 and will take place in mixed groups mainly outdoors. The rules of each activity were explained to the leaders. • MAD for Europe divided also the tasks between the partners, deciding who will be in charge to help in some specific activities. Everyone of the partners has one specific task to accomplish in order to help the coordinator the project.

• Leaders had the chance also to participate at a cultural visit around the city center of Madrid offered by MAD for Europe. They saw the most important monuments in Madrid and also some of the locations where the youngsters will develop some of the activities in March.

• After the visit we invited all the leaders to a social lunch in the city centre, at “La Gloria de Montera” Restaurant where they had the opportunity to taste the typical Spanish recipes and enjoyed a lot. After the presentation MAD for Europe solved all the doubts of the partners, then, as scheduled, the participants went on an organized tour of Madrid and ate in a typical restaurant provided by MAD for Europe. The APV was very useful to meet again the partners, answer to their question and keep in touch for the next steps of this project
