"Be PRIDE of you" was born out of the need to increasingly broaden the area of tolerance and understanding of young European citizens, focusing on the LGBTQ+ community and the world around them.

The main topics we wanted to address are the knowledge of the LGBTQ+ community as an active and participatory member of our society, discrimination on the basis of their gender identity/sexual orientation, freedom of expression, respect for others and above all the possibility to seize opportunities for growth in these differences.

The project aimed to create a safe and stimulating space in which the young participants have the opportunity both to discuss the proposed topics through personal opinions and experiences, and to acquire new knowledge on the subject especially through contact with some local realities. The city of Madrid, as a strongly multicultural centre and European capital, has very proactive LGBTQ+ associations that could present their activities and their way of living their belonging to this community.
