HEALTHY FOOD, HEALTHY MOOD
N. 2023- 3- ES02-KA152-YOU-000174308
From April 21st until April 26th

Healthy Food Healthy Mood Erasmus program was packed with fun activities and valuable insights, all geared towards getting to know each other better and understanding the importance of healthy eating habits.

Icebreakers and Introductions:

Each day of the activities was kicked off by breaking the ice and getting to know each other through some energizing activities related to the topic of the project, setting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the start.

Activity 2: FEARS AND EXPECTATIONS

The participants discussed the fears and the expectations of the project. The activity was coordinated by the French group, who brought an interesting activity to make the other participants open about their possible fears and expectations about the project.

Activity 1: MAIN DISH

Divided into 8 international groups, the participants of each group had to guess two main ingredients of the picture of 8 national dishes sent in the WhatsApp group. They had some time to reflect about the dish and they had to think about two alternative ingredients that could be used for non- conventional diets such as vegetarianism and veganism, but also alternatives to allergens and intolerances. This provided them with an understanding of the complexity of food ingredients and the challenges related to personal diet.

Activity 3: FOOD CHALLENGE

With a limited budget in hand, the participants divided into international groups embarked on a mission to find and enjoy a healthy meal for lunch. The only instructions were to write down the ingredients of the food they would eat, and the next day the nutritionist would choose the most nutritious meal.

Activity 4: WALKING TOUR

The participants had the chance to have a private walking tour around the city to get to know the history, the culture and to discover the most important monuments and secrets of Madrid.

Activity 5: E+ YOUTH EXCHANGE

We started the day with an engaging presentation about Mad for Europe's activities and the structure of Erasmus+ projects, including youth exchanges and training courses. It provided valuable insights into the opportunities available for youth engagement and personal development.

Activity 6: VISIT OF NUTRITIONIST

A nutritionist joined to review and evaluate our lunch menus from the previous day. Together, we discussed the nutritional value of our meals and received personalized feedback on how to make healthier choices in the future.

Activity 7: WORLD CAFE

We participated in discussions on environmental and social topics, rotating to gather ideas on a large piece of paper. This activity encouraged us to share perspectives and brainstorm solutions to pressing issues facing our communities and the planet.

Activity 8: PAINT, CREATION OF A POSTER

We participated in discussions on environmental and social topics, rotating to gather ideas on a large piece of paper. This activity encouraged us to share perspectives and brainstorm solutions to pressing issues facing our communities and the planet.

Activity 9: LOGO CREATION

Following each topic discussion, the task was to create catchy slogans and logos for the ideas generated earlier. This creative exercise challenged us to communicate complex concepts in simple, memorable ways, fostering teamwork and innovation.

Activity 10: CiSU FINAL EVENT

This part was dedicated to the presentation of the project “Culture is you” by MAD for Europe. A project dedicated to discovering cultures and traditions through an interactive and fun boardgame. This activity brought a wider knowledge of the host organization and European cooperation projects.

Activity 11: BLIND CHALLENGE

The participants were divided into national groups, and they were asked to bring national food. The objective was to guess the ingredients of the dishes of other countries, in an interactive challenge between nationalities. This created a sense of national identity and feeling of belonging and at the same time a broader overview of different food cultures.

INTERCULTURAL FOOD EXCHANGE

Each international group brought food from their respective countries and a big and varied intercultural lunch was organised.

Activity 12: PREPARATION OF FLASH MOB

The participants enjoyed a moment of mobility and creativity with the preparation of the final flashmob organized by the Slovakian team, who interacted everybody with their contagious energy.

Activity 13: GYMKANA

One of the last activities of the project was dedicated to a fun challenge at Retiro Park. The participants were divided into different groups, and they had to find some important information inside the park and provide the answers to the facilitators at the end of the it.

Activity 14: INTERVIEW TO CITIZENS

The participants had to interview tourists and citizens around the park asking about their lifestyle and habits, to acknowledge the concept of healthy lifestyle and raising people awareness on this important topic.

ACTIVITY 15: FLASHMOB

The last activity of the exchange was to create a flashmob including the logo and drawings made in the previous sessions. The activity was prepared by the Slovakian team and they were able to bond all the participants in  a joyful dance where all the countries were involved, building up a sense of national identity and at the same time a international and European one.

ACTIVITY 16: FINAL EVALUATION AND CERTIFICATE DELIVERY

For concluding the exchange, a feedback and evaluation session was conducted through a sharing moment where the participants could express themselves.  It followed by the filling up of a form where they could score the overall project and the delivery of the certificate of attendance.
